During our stay, we found the blend of traditional and modern elements quite intriguing. The room, despite its age, was adequately maintained, providing a comfortable stay. The in-room amenities, namely the refrigerator and coffee maker, were convenient touches that enhanced our experience. The complimentary breakfast offered added value to our stay.While the property may appear dated, the pleasant demeanor of the lady at the front desk truly stood out, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The proximity to local attractions, such as LuRay Caverns and the Blue Ridge Mountains, was a definite highlight for our visit to the Shenandoah Valley.Although the cleanliness of the room was satisfactory, we noticed a slight musty odor on the comforter, potentially from its previous use in a smoking room. Despite this minor issue, the staff's friendliness and the overall convenience of the hotel outweighed any shortcomings.In conclusion, our stay was comfortable and met our expectations. We would consider returning due to the convenient location and the amiable service provided by the staff.
